QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 50,610.00 - 67,110.00 (CPSB 06)House Allowance: Ksh. 22,000.00 p.mCommuter Allowance: KSh. 8,000.00 p.m.Other Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent and PensionableRequirements for Appointment:-Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or any other related field from a recognized institution.;Knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than five (5) years;Must have proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, R, or SAS, and data visualization tools.Demonstrate knowledge of economic theory, statistical analysis, and planning methodologiesDemonstrate a good understanding of Kenya Vision 2030, Medium-Term Plans, and county development frameworksMust have strong analytical, report writing, and presentation skills.Knowledge of public finance management principles and the budget-making process;Duties and Responsibilities: -Providing technical support to the county department of Economic Planning;Planning and other key stakeholders on economic planning issues.Supervise officers in his/her division and monitor projects across the department;Present findings through original published reports, articles, presentations, and other documentation on economic development for the county;Collaborate with public and private entities to acquire new data, assist in the development of data gathering tools including surveys and questionnaires,acquisition of administrative data sets, and compilation of data from various data sources for use in research and statistical analysis;Apply knowledge of research methods and design in the social and behavioural sciences to create innovative, routine, and complex research studies;Collect and present statistical data in form of survey reports and bulletin to inform the public on economic status of the County;Coordinate budget preparation; andPlan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets
