QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh.92,030.00 -133,410.00 (CPSB 05)House Allowance: Ksh. 28,000.00 p.m Commuter Allowance: KSh. 12,000.00 p.m.Other Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent and PensionableRequirement for AppointmentBachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B Pharm) from an institution recognized by Pharmacy and Poisons Board;Master’s Degree in Clinical Pharmacy from an institution recognized by Pharmacy and Poisons Board will be an added advantage; Relevant work experience of not less than four (4) years;Certificate of Registration as a Pharmacist by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board;Valid practicing license from Pharmacy and Poisons Board;Having undergone supervisory course of not less than four weeks from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;Demonstrated professional competence and managerial capability as reflected in work performance and results;Duties and Responsibilities -:Monitor effective storage of specialized medical supplies requiring cold storage;Supervise pharmaceutical services in health facilities;Disseminate and provide new drug information to health workers;Coordinate Medical and Therapeutic committee activities in a health facility;Develop and review pharmaceutical standards operating procedures for health facilities;Conduct research on the trend of medicine utilization and make appropriate advise;Provide continuous professional development education to pharmacists;Evaluate appropriateness of donated medical supplies and drugs;Oversee maintenance of pharmaceutical inventories;Participate in facility management committees;Coordinate preparation of annual work plans and ensuring they are adhered to;Monitor and evaluate staff performance against set targets;Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
