QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh.58,360.00 - 90,200.00 (CPSB 06) House Allowance: Ksh. 25,500.00 pmCommuter Allowance: Ksh. 8,000.00 pmOther Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent and PensionableRequirements for Appointment-;Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.Have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.Demonstrate knowledge of irrigation systems, technologies, and water resource management.Have strong project management, communication, and leadership skillsMembership to a relevant Professional body.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlan, design, and supervise irrigation and drainage infrastructure projects.Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for proposed irrigation schemes.Coordinate rehabilitation and maintenance of existing irrigation systems.Ensure adherence to engineering standards and environmental regulations.Prepare technical reports, drawings, and tender documents.Liaise with stakeholders including farmers, water user associations, and government agencies.Advise the department on best practices and innovations in irrigation engineering.Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
