Basic Salary Scale: Ksh.58,360.00 - 90,200.00 (CPSB 06)
House Allowance: Ksh. 25,500.00 pm
Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 8,000.00 pm
Other Allowances as Per the SRC Circulars
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

Requirements for Appointment-;

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
Postgraduate qualification in communication or media is advantageous.
At least six (6) years of experience in communications or public information roles, including supervisory experience.
Proficiency in media relations, content creation, and digital platforms.
Knowledge of communication analytics and reporting, including the ability to interpret data and use insights to improve strategies

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement internal and external communication materials to effectively convey organizational messages, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with the institution’s goals and objectives.
Manage media relations and press release distribution by building strong relationships with journalists, drafting compelling media statements, and ensuring timely dissemination of information to enhance the organization’s public image.
Oversee social media, publications, and website content by creating engaging posts, updating online platforms, and maintaining accurate and relevant information that reflects the organization’s values and activities.
Coordinate stakeholder communication and outreach initiatives, including preparing briefing materials, newsletters, and presentations to maintain positive relationships with partners, clients, and the community.
Monitor media and public sentiment through regular analysis of coverage, feedback, and trends to provide strategic recommendations and manage potential reputational risks.
Organize events and press briefings such as launches, conferences, and media interviews to enhance visibility and communicate key messages effectively.
Prepare communication reports and analytics to measure the impact of communication strategies, track media engagement, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Ensure brand consistency across messaging by enforcing communication guidelines, reviewing all content for tone and style, and maintaining a unified brand identity across all platforms.
Mentor communication staff by providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to enhance their skills and ensure high-quality communication deliverables.
