QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 60,080.00 - 96,130.00 (CPSB 06) House Allowance: Ksh. 25,500.00 pmCommuter Allowance: Ksh. 8,000.00 pmOther Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable Requirements for Appointment-:A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or its Equivalent (Accounting or Finance option) and passed Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) ExaminationRelevant working experience of Five (5) years in the Accounting, Auditing or Financial field ORA Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination holderRegistered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).Assist in preparation of various types of financial reports Assist the organization in better management of various financial aspectsUnderstand the functioning of IFMIS preparation of various financial statements, such as the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows, in accordance with IPSAS (International Public Sector Accounting Standards), and ready to expand expertise in the field of financial management and information management.Ability to generate IFMIS detailed reports on government expenditures, including spending by department, program, and type of expenditure.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and other regulations related to public finance management.Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.Duties and Responsibilities -:The officer will be responsible for providing advisory services to Departmental heads and other stakeholders on all financial matters;Participating and providing advice as expected of the office, etc.;Interpretation and implementation of financial regulations and procedures, Treasury circulars, letters and instructions; Assist in developing supplementary financial regulations and procedures to enhance internal controls established through normal Treasury regulations and procedures;Preparation of management financial reports which include monthly expenditure, returns, monthly bank reconciliation statements, cash flow statements, analysis of deposits and annual financial reports etc as stipulated by PFM Act 2012.Maintenance of up to date and accurate books of accounts, safeguarding Government Assets and records; Any other duties that may be assigned.
