QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 124,630.00 - 172,350.00 (CPSB 03)House Allowance: Ksh. 35,000.00 p.m Commuter Allowance: KSh. 16,000.00 p.m.Other Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent and PensionableRequirements for Appointment-;Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience, three (3) of which must be at a senior management level.Registration with a professional bodyCertificate in senior management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.Proven knowledge of tourism development policies, marketing, and promotion strategies.Duties and ResponsibilitiesFormulate and implement tourism development strategies and policies for the county.Promote and market the county as a preferred tourist destination.Oversee development of tourism infrastructure and attractions.Coordinate partnerships with stakeholders in the tourism sector.Monitor and evaluate performance of tourism projects and initiatives.Advise the county government on tourism trends and policy matters.Develop and manage tourism-related investment opportunities.Oversee capacity building and training for tourism personnel.Supervise and provide strategic leadership to the tourism department staff.
