QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 127,340.00 - 182,890.00 pmHouse Allowance: Ksh. 35,000.00 pmCommuter Allowance: Ksh. 16,000.00 pmOther Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent and PensionableRequirement of AppointmentBachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Land economics, Land survey and photogrammetric; Geometrics, Geo-informants or related coursesTen (10) years’ experience, five (5) years of which must have been in a senior management level in an institution either in public or private sectorManagement Course lasting not less than Four (4) weeks from a recognized institutionRegistered member of a professional bodyBe conversant with policy formulation and implementation.Be a strategic thinker and result oriented.Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Devolution, the County development objectives and vision 2030.Duties and Responsibilities -:Administer performance based management system in the departmentCoordinate preparation of policy papers on land surveysReviewing policies on surveying, mapping, data management and human capacity development in the department in the countyOverseeing research of new and emerging technologiesMaintenance of sub divisional schemes and engineering surveysMonitoring and evaluating survey and mapping activities within the countyLiaising with other departmental heads within the county on policy issuesDevelopment, implementation and realization of the departments’ strategic plans and objectivesPreparation and implementation of the departments’ performance appraisal system and contractsOverseeing the finances and assets management of the department, instituting operational accountabilityOverall management and development of staff welfare and their technical requirementsResponding to court summons
