QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 124,630.00 - 172,350.00 (CPSB 03)
House Allowance: Ksh. 35,000.00 p.m
Commuter Allowance: KSh. 16,000.00 p.m.
Other Allowances as Per the SRC Circulars
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

Requirements for Appointment:-

A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field from a recognized institution.
A Master’s degree in Education, Education Management, or a related discipline.
At least ten (10) years of relevant experience, five (5) of which should be at a senior managerial level.
Demonstrated experience in education policy development, curriculum implementation, and quality assurance.
Certificate in senior management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Knowledge of national education policies, the County Education Act, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Proficiency in education management systems and ICT applications.
Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities:-

Provide strategic leadership and policy direction in the education sector within the county.
Formulate and oversee the implementation of education programs, policies, and strategies.
Coordinate the development and monitoring of education plans and budgets.
Promote quality assurance and standards in schools and other learning institutions.
Manage partnerships with education stakeholders and development partners.
Oversee the recruitment, deployment, and capacity building of education officers.
Ensure compliance with education laws, regulations, and national curriculum policies.
Prepare and submit periodic reports on education sector performance to the County Executive.
Liaise with stakeholders and development partners to support education initiatives.
Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
