QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh.102,860.00 137,070.00 (CPSB 04) House Allowance: Ksh. 28,000.00 p.m Commuter Allowance: KSh. 14,000.00 p.m.Other Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent and PensionableRequirements for Appointment-;Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering, or related field.Registered as a professional engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).A master's degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.Certificate in senior management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.At least 8 years of experience in road construction and maintenance, 3 of which should be in a supervisory role.Knowledge of laws and regulations on road works, design, and safety standards.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning and coordinating county road construction and maintenance programs.Implement policies and strategies for roads and infrastructure development.Supervise the design and construction of county roads and bridges.Ensure adherence to quality standards and road safety regulations.Prepare technical reports and performance reviews for road projects.Monitor progress of road works and address any technical challenges.Assist in preparing departmental budgets and work plans.Supervise and train junior engineers and technical staff.Liaise with contractors and other stakeholders for timely project completion.Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
