QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh.102,860.00 137,070.00 (CPSB 04) House Allowance: Ksh. 28,000.00 p.m Commuter Allowance: KSh. 14,000.00 p.m.Other Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent and PensionableRequirements for Appointment:-Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field from a recognized institution.A Master’s degree in Education, Education Management or a related discipline (an added advantage).Served in a senior education management position for at least eight (8) years with three (3) years at a supervisory level.Certificate in senior management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.Demonstrate knowledge of education policy implementation and quality assurance systems.Possess excellent leadership, planning and organizational skills.Should be conversant with education laws, regulations and curriculum frameworks.Computer literate with proficiency in education management systems.Duties and Responsibilities:-Assist the Director in providing leadership and policy guidance on education matters.Coordinate implementation of education programs and projects in the county.Supervise and monitor the performance of education officers at sub-county and ward levels.Ensure effective deployment and management of ECDE teachers and education staff.Develop and review education sector plans and performance targets.Promote quality standards and compliance in schools and learning institutions.Liaise with stakeholders and development partners to support education initiatives.Prepare reports and briefs on education activities and submit them to the Director.Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
