QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 124,630.00 - 172,350.00 (CPSB 03)House Allowance: Ksh. 35,000.00 p.m Commuter Allowance: KSh. 16,000.00 p.m.Other Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent and PensionableRequirements for Appointment-;Bachelor’s degree in Cooperative Management, Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, or a related field from a recognized institution.A Master’s degree in a relevant field professional body will be an added advantage.Have at least seven (7) years of relevant experience in cooperative development, with at least three (3) years in a senior management or supervisory role.Certificate in senior management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.Demonstrate a deep understanding of cooperative legislation, policy, and best practices.Possess strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership in the formulation and implementation of cooperative development policies and strategies.Oversee registration, auditing, supervision, and regulation of cooperative societies.Coordinate capacity-building programs for cooperative societies and their leadership.Ensure compliance with the Cooperative Societies Act and other relevant laws.Guide and monitor cooperative-based value chain development initiatives.Develop proposals for funding, partnerships, and investments in the cooperative sector.Promote cooperative education, training, and awareness creation.Prepare and submit periodic reports to the County Executive Committee Member and relevant stakeholders.Represent the county in national and inter-county cooperative forums.Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
