Hold a current practicing license from the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya (ERB).Corporate membership with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK)Served for a minimum of three years as a Senior Superintending Engineer (or equivalent) in the public service.A Senior Management Course lasting not less than four weeks from a recognized institution is generally required for promotions to senior engineering grades.Certification in computer applications Candidates must demonstrate merit and ability, as reflected in their work performance and results.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign, prepare drawings and supervision of construction of civil and structural works for County projects.Maintenance of County classified and unclassified roads.Coordinate preparation of tender documents for Civil works, oversee Construction of buildings, foot bridges and river protection works;Analyse site weekly reports;Monitor and supervision of works in progress;Ensure specification and standards are adhered to during construction;Planning and coordinating road works programs.Overseeing engineering designs, preparing annual maintenance programs, and developing tender and contract documents.Managing procurement plans for road projects.Monitoring and supervising maintenance work to ensure quality and adherence to plans and budget.Directing and controlling the work of other engineering and technical staff.Overseeing applied research in road materials and construction.Liaising with other government departments and stakeholders
