QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Requirements for Appointmenti) Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;ii) Have knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than four (4) years;iii) Member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) in good standing;iv) Have a valid practicing license; v) Successful applicant to meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity;vi) Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance results.Duties and Responsibilitiesi) Monitor the implementation of the Supply Chain Management policy guidelines and procedures, and recommend appropriate action where necessary;ii) Undertake pre-qualification of suppliers and maintenance of pre-qualification documents for record purpose;iii) Carry out market survey and research to determine market rates;iv) Issue administrative guidance to suppliers and users on interpretation and implementation of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, 2015 and relevant policies;v) Inspect, verify and manage procurement documents to ensure they contain the right quality and quantity of goods and services as per the requested specification;vi) Participate in procurement planning and consolidation of annual procurement plan within the department;vii) Ensure effective inventory control of goods and assets;viii) Plan, monitor and evaluate the performance of staff against the set targets;ix) Perform other duties assigned by controlling officer.
