QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 90,200.00 - 124,630.00 (CPSB 05)House Allowance: Ksh. 28,000.00 p.m Commuter Allowance: KSh. 12,000.00 p.m.Other Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable Requirements for Appointment:-Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance option), Business Administration, Economics, or any other relevant field from a recognized institution.A Master's degree (Auditing, Finance, or related) is an advantage.CPA(K) or Certified IS Auditor or equivalent.Six (6) years’ experience, of which 3 years must be at Principal Internal Auditor level or its equivalentMembership in a relevant professional body such as ICPAK, IIA, ISACA, or equivalent in good standing.Proficiency in computerized auditing techniques and accounting software (e.g., ACL, IDEA, or ERP systems)Duties and Responsibilities:-Plan and lead regulatory, financial, operational, and IT-based audits.Conduct system reviews to assess adequacy of controls and risk exposure.Monitor regulatory compliance and adherence to policies. Lead internal audit teams, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion.Manage audit work plans, engagement programs, and budgets.Prepare audit reports, discuss findings with departmental heads.Assess internal controls, governance, risk management, and recommend improvements.Oversee integrity of financial statements and pre-audit submissions.Mentor and coach junior auditors.Assist in policy/system reviews and development of audit methodologies.Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
