QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 90,200.00 124,630.00 (CPSB 04)House Allowance: Ksh.28, 000Commuter Allowance: Ksh.12, 000 p.m.Other Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent and PensionableRequirements for Appointment-;-:Bachelor's degree in Fisheries, Aquatic Sciences, Marine Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.Have at least six (6) years of relevant experience, three (3) of which should be at a senior management level in fisheries or aquaculture.Demonstrate a deep understanding of fisheries management, aquaculture systems, and relevant national and county policy frameworks.Be conversant with fisheries laws, environmental regulations, and blue economy strategies.Have excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.Duties and Responsibilities -:Assist in the formulation and implementation of county fisheries and aquaculture strategies and work plans.Coordinate the development and monitoring of fish farming projects and marine resource use.Supervise fisheries officers and ensure effective delivery of extension services to fish farmers and stakeholders.Promote fish value addition, market access, and development of cooperatives.Ensure compliance with environmental and fisheries regulations.Provide technical support and training to local communities and stakeholders.Compile and submit timely technical reports, data, and progress reviews on fisheries programs.Support collaboration with development partners, research institutions, and NGOs.Participate in budgeting, resource mobilization, and procurement for fisheries activities.Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
