QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 90,200.00 124,630.00 (CPSB 04)House Allowance: Ksh.28, 000Commuter Allowance: Ksh.12, 000 p.m.Other Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent and PensionableRequirements for AppointmentBachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration / Management; Community Development, or any other social science from a recognized institution;Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage;Knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than six (6) years and has at least three (3) years’ experience at management level; andDemonstrate managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance;Duties and Responsibilities-:Advise cooperatives on proper financial management and governanceCoordinate training programs for cooperative officers and membersOversee implementation of cooperative policies and regulationsGuide new cooperative formations and ensures their registration processes comply with legal frameworksMonitor cooperative societies to ensure compliance with statutory requirementsConduct inspections and audits of cooperative societiesResolve disputes within cooperative organizations through mediation and advisory supportLiaise with other government departments and stakeholders on matters of cooperative developmentCollect and analyze data to inform cooperative development strategiesPrepare report on cooperative performance and submits them to senior managementPromote cooperative marketing and value addition initiativesEvaluate loan applications from cooperative societies and advises on creditworthinessProvide technical support for digitization and modernization of cooperative systemsParticipate in policy formulation and development of cooperative development frameworksRepresent the department in county and national cooperative forumsSupervise and mentors junior staff in the cooperative development unitEnsure implementation of work plans and targets related to cooperative growthPlan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set target
