QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh.58,360.00 - 90,200.00 (CPSB 06) House Allowance: Ksh. 25,500.00 pmCommuter Allowance: Ksh. 8,000.00 pmOther Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent and PensionableRequirements for appointment:-Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.Knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than three (5) years; andShown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.Duties and responsibilities:-Coordinate the issuance, renewal, and revocation of business and trade licensesSupervise the maintenance and updating of the county’s licensing database and registryEnsure compliance with county and national trade licensing laws and regulationsMonitor licensing revenue collection and prepare performance reportsConduct field inspections to verify compliance with licensing requiremenTAdvise traders, investors, and the public on licensing procedures and requirementsParticipate in the development and review of licensing policies and systemsHandle licensing-related complaints, disputes, and enforcement actionsCoordinate the activities of licensing officers across sub-countiesLiaise with other departments and agencies on licensing and compliance mattersPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on licensing operationsLead public awareness and sensitization campaigns on trade licensingPlan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
