QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 39,700.00 - 52,960.00 (CPSB 09)House Allowance: Ksh. 12,800 p.m Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 5,000 p.m.Other Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable Requirements for Appointment-:Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Architecture, Environmental Design, Architecture, Environmental Planning, Sustainable Design, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institutionProficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit, etc.)Knowledge of environmental design standards, green building practices, and relevant legislation (e.g., EMCA, Physical and Land Use Planning Act)Strong understanding of sustainable land use and climate-resilient infrastructureStrong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.Duties and responsibilities:-Assist in designing environmentally sustainable buildings and public infrastructureIncorporate green architecture principles and climate-responsive design in county projectsParticipate in reviewing architectural plans and building proposals for environmental complianceCollaborate with planners, engineers, and environmental officers on sustainable urban developmentConduct site visits and environmental assessments for proposed construction worksPrepare concept designs, working drawings, and documentation for eco-friendly structuresSupport implementation of county environmental and climate change mitigation strategies through designPromote use of renewable energy, natural ventilation, water harvesting, and sustainable materialsParticipate in community education and awareness on sustainable design practicesPlan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
