QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 90,200.00 - 124,630.00 (CPSB 05)House Allowance: Ksh. 28,000.00 p.m Commuter Allowance: KSh. 12,000.00 p.m.Other Allowances as Per the SRC CircularsTerms of Service: Permanent and PensionableRequirements for Appointment;-A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).A minimum of 6 years of experience in public works, transport management, or infrastructure development, with at least 3 years in a senior management or leadership role.Strong understanding of public works policies, transport planning, and infrastructure management.Excellent leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to manage large-scale infrastructure projects and budgets.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.Proficiency in project management software and relevant engineering tools.Professional certification or membership in relevant institutions (e.g., ICE, ACI, CILT) is an advantage.Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee the planning, implementation, and management of public works projects, including roads, bridges, and other essential infrastructure.Supervise the design, development, and maintenance of transport systems, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and people.Provide strategic direction for public works and transport policies, ensuring alignment with national and local development goals.Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the timely and successful execution of projects.Monitor the performance of public works programs and transport services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality standards.Develop and manage budgets for public works and transport initiatives, ensuring efficient use of resources.Prepare detailed reports, policy recommendations, and progress updates for senior management and stakeholders.Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of engineers, planners, and other professionals within the public works and transport sectors.
