QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 46,120.00 - 65,860.00 pm (CPSB 08)
House Allowance: Ksh. 22,000.00 pm
Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 6,000.00 pm
Other Allowances as Per the SRC Circulars
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Requirement of Appointment
Diploma in Technical Education from a recognized institution.
OR
Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agronomy, Building and Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Performing arts, Counseling, Psychology, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Education Technology, ICT, Textile/Clothing Technology/ Fashion Design, Mechanical Engineering, Catering & Hospitality Management/ Food & Beverage, Food Technology, Hairdressing & beauty therapy/cosmetology, Telecommunication Engineering, Plumbing, Human Resource Management, Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. AND Diploma in Technical Education from a recognized institution.
Management Course lasting not less than two weeks from a recognized institution
Be a member of a relevant Professional body where applicable
Must be accredited and licenced by TVET Authority or registrable by TVETA
Shown merit, integrity and ability as reflected in work performance and results
Duties and Responsibilities:-
Deputize the Principal of a Vocational Training Centre,
Coordinate curricula and cocurricular activities,
Initiate and implement income generating activities and production units,
Spearhead linkage with relevant stakeholders,
Training in area of specialization in accordance with syllabus,
Coordination of courses; Projects and practical work and preparation of scheme of work,
Inducting and supervising newly appointed officers;
Preparing teaching and learning material;
Setting and marking examinations and supervising projects,
Carryout research in their area of specialization.
Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
