POSITION: Director Youth Affairs & Development [Q]Apply
Duties & Responsibilities

•Provide administrative direction and oversight of all youth programs and activities.
•Supervise County Youth officers and other staff below him/her
•Act as strategic and policy advisor on youth matters to the Chief Officer.
•Coordinate human resource management and development for the technical and support staff in the section.
•Coordinate performance management for technical and support cadres in the department.
•Propose to the Chief Officer partnerships with both private and other public organizations and individuals in developing youth training facilities and activities.
• Conduct training, mentoring, and evaluating of youth officers in the County.
• Work with other agencies, bodies, government to improve the youth training facilities and enhance the use of the facilities
•Oversee the monitoring and evaluating of youth programs and projects in the county
•Prepare quarterly and annual reports detailing challenges and successes of the section
•Establish and maintain standards of training and practice rules for all County youth training.

Requirements for Appointment

•Holder of Bachelors degree in Education/Social Sciences
•Seven (7) years’ experience, Three (3) years of which must have been in a senior management level in an institution either in public or private sector
•Experience in public sector/County Government operations
•Creative and innovative, technical problem solving, transformative and resource management skills;
•Integrity and commitment to produce results, ability to work with minimum supervision;
•Ability to get on well with the diverse workforce and
•Good communication and Analytical skills
•Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
