QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating civic education programmes in conjunction with the devolved units.
• Managing, executing and controlling the civic education activities: preparation of the civic education work plans for approval by the chief officer responsible for public administration
• Developing and implementing an annual civic education strategy for the county
• Provision of detailed reports of civic education activities.
• Management of all matters pertaining to Public Education and Advocacy
• Enhancing cohesion among different communities
• Educating the citizens on their rights and their responsibilities as stipulated in the constitution

Requirement for Appointment

• Have a Bachelors Degree in social sciences, Education, Communication or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Seven (7) years’ experience, three (3) years of which must have been in a senior management level in an institution either in public or private sector
• Experience in public sector/County Government operations
• Creative and innovative, technical problem solving, transformative and resource management skills;
• Integrity and commitment to produce results, ability to work with minimum supervision;
• Ability to get on well with the diverse workforce and
• Good communication and Analytical skills
• Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
• In-depth understanding of the constitution of Kenya and the relevant legislations
